CASA Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Natalie Thorgren

“There are still families who need our help and support, and volunteering is as helpful to me as it is to them.”

Natalie Thorgren has been a CASA volunteer for one year and is an elementary school teacher.  In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her friends and family.

Natalie heard about CASA when she attended our CASAblanca Gala in 2019.  She said, “I heard about the need for volunteers and felt it was something I could do.”

She noted that one of her favorite things about CASA volunteering is “being able to help families who are struggling, and making connections with people I may not otherwise meet.” Natalie also expressed that she continues to volunteer because “there are still families who need our help and support, and volunteering is as helpful to me as it is to them.” 

Natalie is happy to share more about her experience with others who are interested or might be on the fence.  She said, “You won’t regret it!”
